With Ko Zaw Htut's clever initiative, Ko Ravi's trustworthy assurance, involvement of our young leaders, recent positive responses from all bro/sis, and, last but not least, hard work of the selfless Myanmar NLP contributors, I personally would like to express my support for the proposal of the Myanmar Unicode Year and its proposed cutoff date (၁၃၇၃ ခုနှစ် မြန်မာ နှစ်ဆန်း ၁ ရက်နေ့ 17.4.2011) for the Myanmar Unicode migration. I believe this is the time for "the Great Migration". Let me also take this opportunity to propose MITP to switch our default font to a Unicode font in the very beginning of the year 2011, if not earlier :)
I am proposing this as a member of MITP, and also hoping to hear others' diverse views.
I promise I will also start learning how to type a Myanmar keyboard and improve my shameful writing skills. :)
Happy New Year Everyone. All the best wishes :)
cheers,
Tun

Permalink Reply by Win Myanmar Systems on April 16, 2012 at 12:03pm The Great Migration: Myanmar Unicode Year/Day < This has been a year. Is MCDC (Myanmar Computer Development Council) and MCF (Myanmar Computer Federation) planning enough for the future of Myanmar's future? I am sure they need help. What and how can we help? Let's brainstorm on this issue. Let's have a solution-driven discussion..
