Dear Myanmar IT Pro Members,

It comes to our knowledge that journals in Myanmar want to publish our contents (blog posts, discussions, etc) in their offline media. It is a good intention and initiatives from the IT Journals but there could also be possible side effects of responsibility on what you write / comment here.

Journalist - We would like to request you that the blog posts, discussions, comments, are owned by the respective members and if you wish to publish on your printed media, please contact MITP Admin Group ( AdminGroup@MyanmarITPro.Com) first for which content you want to publish in advance. Upon your request we will inform the content owner for his/her approval.

Member -  As you are the content owner (for your blog, discussion, comment, etc.), please let us know your approval when we contact you (if we received a permission request). If we don't receive your response within 7 days, we will assume that you don't agree your content to be published.

Please feel free to suggest if you can think of better way to protect owner's content/right while we can also add value to the Myanmar's large offline world.

Thanks,

Bro, I also don't like the latest editorial, which is little bit overly acted.

But, I think this problem is passed over. Ko Chit posted a notice. No-one breach that notice. Isn't it over?

I attend that IT Talk with only one intention, to listen what (Law) expert say. And the note (I posted) is not the offline-medias' view. It's the explanation of experts (That is why the point like "moral right" includes).

Actually, this is not the only problem experts discussed in that talk. Another serious media problems also discussed. So, please don't think everything (including copyright issue you quoted) are meant to you or this problem.

If you still feel something loss, I believe face to face discussion would be the ideal solution instead of complaining online (I suggest this because I know both side have their points and both feel they're right).

I believe online discussion is not good for some serious things. It become misleading sometime. According to Ko Chit, it's a tricky thing.

with best regards

ps: I just wanted to end this dispute. Nothing more...

To me, this is total B.S. (Sorry Ko Ei Maung, I don't mean it to you).

What kind of legal experts are they? Don't they know that we are living in Knowledge-Age and Intellectual Property is our most valuable asset? The country is poor because those kinds of autocrats interpret the laws as they want. Pretty much what they are saying is “It is okay to steal because we are poor.”

Ko Chit

I think it's depend bro. They said like that because we do not have solid legal definition. But, I like your comment. Cheers...

Yeah, too bad I'm unable to add an "End-reader License Agreement" at the end of my posts just like those ones in my projects so that the copier knows exactly the dos and don'ts.

LOL

I don't think we actually like CopyRight that much, I mean we are already "stealing" and "abusing" prescious softwares produced by much hardworks of others. Even the Windows we are now using is not genuine.

Sorry, a little bit off-topic but I just wanted to say it.

Infact, I'm just a humble forum crawler...nothing more.....

If talking about MORAL RIGHT, is the publisher of the CONTENT COPIER of this site publish his/her JOURNAL for FREE for the sake of the people?

I think, it is OK to use Contents of any post for FREE (with the consent of the writer) if the PUBLISHER distribute for free. Then, that is called the MORAL RIGHT for all.
