IT companies in Myanmar focused on Banking system

Hi all,

Would like to know what are the companies focused on IT banking system in Myanmar (consulting or development) able to provide solutions or services for bank industry.

Is there already some mobile payment network or other IT innovation related to payment or transfer ?

Vincent,

Currently the biggest company providing banking system/software in Myanmar is called MIT. http://www.mit.com.mm/

They are well known local software company who have many major banks as their client. Some banks may get solutions from foreign companies directly.

There has been some works undergoing for payment gateway but so far we don't have any mobile payment, not even card payment in place. We still need to wait the outcome of the ongoing payment gateway establishment in order to follow up with retail/consumer payment methods.

There is also an online payment provider called Myanpay (www.myanpay.com.mm) similar to Paypal and they are launching their service soon.

There is another RFID card payment for transportation, especially buses for now and it's called iPay www.ipay.com.mm.

Those are what I know so far. Others may add on if they know more.

I am not sure about the biggest software house in myanmar because nobody can say/announce/value current assets.. but main company focusing on banking system are ACE and MIT.

Current biggest bank in myanmar is KBZ and they are using ACE software for more than decade and other banks as well.

Both(ACE & MIT) of them might have a lot of ready made systems regarding with banking. They are just waiting for the right time.

Most problematic area are infrastructure and permit.
