My view for this is we should focus on stability of Internet infrastructure and penetration rather than the download speed. Download speed for me is mainly marketing gimmick from ISP. Because it is only meant for the connection speed between your home and ISP. Which means if they say 10Mbps, that's only from your home to ISP server. Most ISP has Speedtest or FTP server to prove it.

Not a single ISP in the world can guarantee download speed for global Internet traffic. Because the actual download speed is determined by throughput utilization of ISP's global Internet transit links, peak hours, the serving web server's bandwidth limitation for requests, physical local loop condition and errors, physical local loops sharing utilization (yea we share our Internet connections from our homes to ISP in certain neighborhood telecom exchange/riser for certain type of connections) and many more factors.

So as long as my access network type allows, I can give you very high number of download speed for customers. And one important fact is that the actual speed won't directly proportional to the bandwidth increase. Which means your Internet speed won't be double even you double your Internet connection bandwidth. You can only probably increase number of users by higher bandwidth.

Benefit of having higher bandwidth (like in other developed countries such as Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, etc.) is mainly visible if we have IP services locally, for example, we have IP TV and movie content servers, software update servers, game servers, medical healthcare systems, cloud services, etc. in Myanmar.

So my opinion is we should be looking at more stability of local loops and access network and better penetration (more subscribers) rather than going for higher speed. Having better broadband penetration in the country has direct impact on social and economy development. There are many studies to prove that fact. Of course having high speed broadband is ultimate goal but for Myanmar we should start from the ground, not jumping to the top.

Thank You ..
knowledge on broadband ISP...

My son can do it better than any other speeding application.

We start ground, since before you and me born: but stay the same speed.

It's not about whether they start from ground or not for what is the situation now.

It's only the matter whether they want to do it. If they want to do it, then they must do it right.

What you are seeing now is not because they start from ground. It's simply they are not doing it right.

Anyway, we must give them credit for increasing the subscribers over the years. Sometime, you need to know where you are. We are not in first world country. Don't forget that.

That's rubbish. We are not talking about how to increase your computer download speed probably using some internet download manager or alike. We are talking about general nationwide speed and penetration.
